There is a lot of danger when it comes to operating heavy machinery. These vehicles can do a lot of damage to people and property if not properly used. In many cases, the user has a hard time knowing what is happening around them. This, in conjunction with a distracted user, can provide a very dangerous environment to work in. Mr. Radek Kornicki from Danfoss wants to determine the viability of a user information augmentation system in improving safety when operating heavy machinery.

Mr. Kornicki wants to test how feasible a heads-up-display (HUD) system is to increase safety. The system will show visuals about the environment while the user is operating heavy machinery. To accomplish this, we want to make the windshield of the vehicle into a HUD. This HUD will give information to the user about potentially dangerous situations that they might be in. This system will indicate things that the user should be looking at and also determine whether or not the user is doing something dangerous.
